In a close collaboration with the Sofia Opera and Ballet, worked on a large-scale project, “Der Ring des Nibelungen”, a tetralogy by Richard Wagner, total duration of 15 hours.
A 3D mapping and the multimedia projections were created for stage sets that were moved by hydraulic mechanisms and remotely-controlled electric motors. Content reproduction was in real time, synchronized with music and the conductor’s tempo-rhythm.
Professor Plamen Kartalov, General Project Producer and Director of the Sofia Opera and Ballet, evaluated the artistic approaches and the multimedia design: ” The multimedia for each part of the “Ring of the Nibelung” project impressed the audience and the foreign critics through its variety and rich fantasy. Georgi Christov and the team possess their own unique visual style which conquers the eye.”
